Ricardo Hendrickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zaccheo Andolina couldn't finish the play. Ricardo Hendrickx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 16th minute of the match. Jaap Stam kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Marcelo Gay's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Flavio Vittori firmly grabbed it by the left post. Italy's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marcelo Gay 21 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Kartal Başar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Twierdza Osowiec's supporters rose to their feet, but Kartal Başar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Vittori breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Twierdza Osowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Ricardo Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pepo Orihuela hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the game, Pepo Orihuela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Twierdza Osowiec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Italy the free kick. A collision led to Twierdza Osowiec getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Pepo Orihuela hit a great ball. Kartal Başar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Flavio Vittori skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ricardo Hendrickx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 37th minute of the match. Ricardo Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 39th minute of play. Zaccheo Andolina might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Hendrickx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zaccheo Andolina ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Gay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Italy's attentive Porziano Marchitelli managed to snatch the ball when Billy Hendrickx made a throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game. Flavio Vittori came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Twierdza Osowiec's Kartal Başar. But to his dismay, Kartal Başar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gianpaolo Mascari made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Twierdza Osowiec's Pepo Orihuela. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kartal Başar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kartal Başar in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Vittori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Twierdza Osowiec's Joško Van Landschoot was substituted for Kartal Başar. The supporters of Italy booed when Twierdza Osowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Daniels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zaccheo Andolina took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Hendrickx. Ricardo Hendrickx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's attentive Eliseo Cutri managed to snatch the ball when Billy Hendrickx made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. After 87 played minutes Twierdza Osowiec got a freekick which was hit by Nils Daniels. In the 88th minute of the match Siricio Liotta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Hendrickx skillfully saved the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Sansone Vanella in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Twierdza Osowiec's Billy Hendrickx. After a rather tough play, Twierdza Osowiec's Joško Van Landschoot got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Ricardo Hendrickx was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Adriano Curto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adriano Curto really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Italy were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
