Bengt Eliasson started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Dervaux in the 14th minute of play forced Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's goalkeeper Bülent Kutunalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt Eliasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Bülent Kutunalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. Bülent Kutunalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bengt Eliasson scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Claes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Eliasson in the 41st minute of play. The Belgium players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Vanderstraeten made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's Bülent Kutunalp. Bülent Kutunalp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorukhan Toköz in the 57th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Edward Vanderstraeten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bülent Kutunalp was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's Jaroslaw Bejger was substituted for Serhan Çakır. The crowd rose to their feet as Bengt Eliasson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Casper Claes. That made the score 3-4 in the 81 minute of play. Bülent Kutunalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Nigel Devos kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 98 minutes into the game, Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's Jaroslaw Bejger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casper Claes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
