Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Waldemar Rosen started the match with the kick off. Pinhote FC's Ni Guang Yong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Pinhote FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Egbert Nijveldt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pinhote FC's Ni Guang Yong did a great save. Ni Guang Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 11th minute of play. Ni Guang Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 16th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Sílvio Luís Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Sílvio Luís Ceresso tried to sneak it across the goal line. When David Eikelkamp fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Netherlands's protests and gave David Eikelkamp a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Eikelkamp to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. With a little luck, Pinhote FC's Ni Guang Yong got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leandro Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sílvio Luís Ceresso took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 70th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Guang Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Damião Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinhote FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damião Maia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Sílvio Luís Ceresso came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Pinhote FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Luís Ceresso couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 80 in the game by Wim Wilmes from a close distance when the talented Ni Guang Yong managed to make a qualified save. Pinhote FC's players were relieved. Ni Guang Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 83rd minute of play. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gualter Távora kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Netherlands were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
