An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbert Ujlacký in the 41st minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Meta söve ve yalıtım's Ümit Sarih was substituted for Atilla Bumin Aktekin. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

In the 68th minute, Günalp Rıfkı got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Olav Graversen came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olav Graversen couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Battal Gazi Sidar notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Denmark's Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
