Flavio Vittori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jay Jowsey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Jay Jowsey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 27th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaccheo Andolina. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zaccheo Andolina in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jay Jowsey saved Attard Gunners from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Zaccheo Andolina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jay Jowsey was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Attard Gunners's Adrian Grech managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eliseo Cutri in the 70 minute of the game. Flavio Vittori was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 91 minutes of play, Italy's Guiscardo Davide made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jay Jowsey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Attard Gunners's Adrian Savona was substituted for Alan Said. Jay Jowsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guiscardo Davide, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Although Italy had been in control for most of the match, Attard Gunners still came away with the win.
