Mats McNamara struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wyoming Cowboys. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Henning Berglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 24th minute of play forced Wyoming Cowboys's goalkeeper Henning Berglund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wyoming Cowboys's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henning Berglund came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin McNamara came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Mats McNamara took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edwin McNamara was the one to do the kick off. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin McNamara in the 52nd minute of play. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henning Berglund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Wyoming Cowboys's Henning Berglund got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frank Sachs received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Henning Berglund came out and tried to block the shot, but Frank Sachs slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 61st minute. In the 69th minute Edwin McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Germany fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Germany's Frank Sachs looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 88th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. The Germany players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
