With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hias Nüssli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Christiano Ronaldo came free, but Hias Nüssli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Christiano Ronaldo made a precise shot to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Hias Nüssli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christiano Ronaldo went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 18 minutes of play, Unione Sportiva's Christiano Ronaldo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hias Nüssli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hias Nüssli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Christiano Ronaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Gustav Iseli fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Switzerland's protests and gave Gustav Iseli a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Gustav Iseli. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christiano Ronaldo in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hias Nüssli saved Switzerland from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Kimon Yfantis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kimon Yfantis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 40thth minute of the game Christiano Ronaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Switzerland's Hias Nüssli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Switzerland defense, Christiano Ronaldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hias Nüssli. The Switzerland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hias Nüssli should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christiano Ronaldo in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hias Nüssli saved Switzerland from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Switzerland's Jacinto Maurer got a free kick in the 46th minute. If Christiano Ronaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hias Nüssli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Ronaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Christiano Ronaldo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 52nd playminute. Switzerland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unione Sportiva the free kick. Federico Wiesendanger hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Kimon Yfantis got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-9 in the right cross in the 66th match minute before Hias Nüssli had time to react. Christiano Ronaldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hias Nüssli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christiano Ronaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Ronaldo in the 72nd minute of the match. Kimon Yfantis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hias Nüssli firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hias Nüssli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Ronaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Hias Nüssli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christiano Ronaldo's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Unione Sportiva's Ime Palavos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Unione Sportiva's Kimon Yfantis got a free kick in the 91st minute. With a little luck, Switzerland's Hias Nüssli got control of the ball when Kimon Yfantis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute, Christiano Ronaldo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hias Nüssli. The goal made the score 0-11.
