The audience was convinced that Frank Peletier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kostja Vertot was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mano, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Maxime Durand came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Fajteri's Eliseo Mano. But to his dismay, Eliseo Mano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 15th minute, Milisav Kovše reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maxime Durand. The goal made the score 2-0. After a rather tough play, France's Henry Robiquet got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mano in the 30th minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fajteri's Ersan Šokčević quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Henry Robiquet, made in the 37th minute of the game. Kostja Vertot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camille Baume, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After some careless play in the France defense, Eliseo Mano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maxime Durand. The France fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maxime Durand should have stopped the shot. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mano in the 42nd minute of the match. Štefan Saje charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Štefan Saje the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fajteri getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Štefan Saje hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseo Mano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Mano took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maxime Durand. Maxime Durand dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The supporters of Fajteri booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remy Dupuy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henry Robiquet hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Fajteri's Tiburcio Abadie was substituted for Leandro Paredes. Fajteri's Arnulf Vidmar was substituted for Feručo Camlek. Fajteri made a substitution. Armando Vogrinčič replaced Eliseo Mano. Henry Robiquet hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute of the match Tiburcio Abadie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maxime Durand showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Fajteri's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Baume came free, but Kostja Vertot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Fajteri's Armando Vogrinčič nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxime Durand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Thomas Filipović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Maxime Durand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Camille Baume came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the France fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camille Baume couldn't finish the play. In the 90th match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Chapuis to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Armando Vogrinčič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. France's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Fajteri had won, even though France had held more of the ball.
