Porziano Marchitelli made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Doffes Damer's Göran Vedholm. Inge Braa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flavio Vittori came out and tried to block the shot, but Inge Braa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Doffes Damer's Greid Tinsmith proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Doffes Damer from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Doffes Damer's Greid Tinsmith got control of the ball when Siricio Liotta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Doffes Damer made a substitution.
