All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Galsino came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Jorge Errando in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jorge Errando. Jorge Errando yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 8-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Theodore in the 83rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Caner Parshan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
