But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Peletier couldn't finish the play. When Nico-Paul Kleinert fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Żywiec's protests and gave Nico-Paul Kleinert a yellow card for diving instead. Nico-Paul Kleinert kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Frank Peletier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Steven Schuster skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 16 minutes into the game, Camille Baume recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Steven Schuster. Camille Baume showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The audience was convinced that Jens Krammer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maxime Durand was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jens Krammer in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxime Durand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maxime Durand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens Krammer's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Bernhard Kehren kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Walter Schulze-Oben scored 2-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maxime Durand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 38 played minutes FC Żywiec got a freekick which was hit by Heiko Bauschus. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 51st minute, Maxence Durand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heiko Bauschus kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Steven Schuster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camille Baume in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Camille Baume shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Schuster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Żywiec's Steven Schuster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Peletier in the 67th minute of play. Maxime Durand made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens Krammer in the 70th minute. In the 77th minute, Camille Baume left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The France fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. In the 83rd match minute, FC Żywiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heiko Bauschus to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes FC Żywiec got a freekick which was hit by Jens Krammer. When Remy Dupuy came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the France fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remy Dupuy couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes FC Żywiec got a freekick which was hit by Bernhard Kehren. There was no doubt that France were the better team. France's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
