The supporters of Denmark booed when The Power Station was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Gelmiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bertram Svenningsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denmark's Chris Nygaard was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 14th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Diego Selmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 17th minute of the match. After 20 minutes of play, The Power Station's Roque Atarratze made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keld Paulsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roque Atarratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bertram Svenningsen kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The Power Station's Emilio Soin got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Artemio Lain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Power Station's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. David Urbez made in the 31st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Emilio Soin immediately put the ball in play. In the 32nd minute Roque Atarratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Denmark's Mikkel Wulff slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Diego Selmo. That made the score 2-2 after 33 minutes of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The wind increased when Roque Atarratze made the kick off in the second half. David Urbez made in the 58th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Genaro Berto immediately put the ball in play. Bertram Svenningsen scored 3-4 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diego Selmo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diego Selmo was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. If Mikkel Wulff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the match, The Power Station's goal looked a bit too open when Bertram Svenningsen came free, but Diego Selmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Power Station's goalkeeper Diego Selmo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diego Selmo came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen. But to his dismay, Bertram Svenningsen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. Diego Selmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Steen, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Denmark's much stronger midfield.
