Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cássio Cortez in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Netherlands booed when LeoMel F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Gueifão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogério Boaventura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Meesters went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Despite this Rogério Boaventura quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 41 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Hipólito Peralta came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes LeoMel F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Viveiros. Rogério Boaventura made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when David Eikelkamp sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
