Deodato Magliozzi made in the 41st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sigfrido Auletta immediately put the ball in play. 45 minutes into the match, Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elvijs Presley. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The Malmö White Knights fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Italy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
