An unexpectedly hard shot by Camille Baume in the 6th minute of play forced Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper Dario Addari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Cristoforo Volpe came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Cristoforo Volpe put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Maxime Durand. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristoforo Volpe in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxime Durand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Cristoforo Volpe sped through France's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maxime Durand. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Dario Addari successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cristoforo Volpe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maxime Durand having to make a save. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristoforo Volpe in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Fiume Veneto's Cristoforo Volpe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxime Durand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 22nd match minute, Fiume Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orges Mema to maneuver through the defense. Fiume Veneto's Dario Addari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Fiume Veneto from getting a goal against them. Dario Addari made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Frank Peletier sent off a good shot on target. Robert Chapuis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Dario Addari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristoforo Volpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, David Barbier threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fiume Veneto's Eugenios Dokas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 44 minutes into the game, Cristoforo Volpe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Maxime Durand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The France players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fiume Veneto were winning 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristoforo Volpe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Camille Baume succeeded in the game's 52nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-5. In the 55th minute, Camille Baume got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristoforo Volpe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maxime Durand having to make a save. With a little luck, France's Maxime Durand got control of the ball when Cristoforo Volpe tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dario Addari made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. After 90 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Quentin Beaux. In the 96thth minute of the game Cristoforo Volpe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Fiume Veneto were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant France side.
