A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Wahadłowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Jerzy Dziechciowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ares Milikowsky to make the kick off. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klement Wawrukiewicz in the 55th minute of play. Wahadłowiec's Boruc Pozorski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Chris Mergenthaler, made in the 57th minute of the game. Cesare Lucentini made in the 62nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Klement Wawrukiewicz. Robert Köök charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Köök the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Germany booed when Wahadłowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Köök didn't get a good kick on the ball.
