In the 22ndth minute of the game Şükrü Yazargil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgium's Casper Claes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Yves Dervaux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgium's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yves Dervaux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jhonny Smart in the 31st minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, MACAU. F.C's goalkeeper Anselmo Gama had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Assunção in the 37th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Angelo Assunção shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of MACAU. Anselmo Gama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Dervaux in the 57th minute of the match. Anselmo Gama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Yves Dervaux. The audience was convinced that Edward Vanderstraeten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselmo Gama was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Şükrü Yazargil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Şükrü Yazargil tried to chip the ball over his head. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
