The coaching staff of FK Mintis Vilnius protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dursun Soysal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 8th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Can saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Oliver Can successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Danilevičius in the 18th minute of the match. When Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FK Mintis Vilnius's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 25th minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Oliver Can to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Danilevičius in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FK Mintis Vilnius's Oliver Can proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save FK Mintis Vilnius from getting a goal against them.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Danilevičius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wim Wilmes scored 1-0 in the 50th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oliver Can, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Eikelkamp in the 54th minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Oliver Can to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Oliver Can reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amado Guterres hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oliver Can. FK Mintis Vilnius's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wim Wilmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Oliver Can showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 2-1 became the score in the 69th minute when Grant Pustak elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute, Grant Pustak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliver Can showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 76th minute of the match. FK Mintis Vilnius's Arūnas Pukelis got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliver Can took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliver Can showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 83rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Netherlands had won after a very even match.
