Thanks to some nice moves Rasvan Cristescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Robin Sharma however easily saved by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Stinga in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robin Sharma saved Blue Mountain State from getting behind. Herensuge Colomes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carol Stinga. Romania's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carol Stinga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Popescu in the 71st minute of play. Anton Stinga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blue Mountain State were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Romania's much stronger midfield.
