Pinturas Coronado's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Beltxe Balboa was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Gustaaf Groeneveldt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pinturas Coronado's goalkeeper Beltxe Balboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A well-hit corner resulted in Lars Meesters heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. With a little luck, Pinturas Coronado's Beltxe Balboa got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Pinturas Coronado's goalkeeper Beltxe Balboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Beltxe Balboa made a huge save. When Pinturas Coronado's C.J. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 王适伟, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 38 minutes into the game, Blas Coira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pinturas Coronado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Blas Coira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The Pinturas Coronado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beltxe Balboa should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beltxe Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beltxe Balboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Meesters went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 82 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 王适伟 in the 86th minute of the match. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Netherlands fully deserved thier win.
