Palloketut's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave France the free kick. Rami Lehto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Peletier in the 5th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Frank Peletier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rami Lehto was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Rami Lehto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camille Baume in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Frank Peletier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rami Lehto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camille Baume in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rami Lehto saved Palloketut from getting behind. After some careless play in the Palloketut defense, Frank Peletier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rami Lehto. The Palloketut fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rami Lehto should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the game, France's Frank Peletier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rami Lehto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 21st minute Frank Peletier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rami Lehto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Palloketut's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Peletier came free, but Rami Lehto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rami Lehto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Peletier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Peletier in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rami Lehto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Palloketut's Arto Karalahti quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Robert Chapuis, made in the 32nd minute of the game. 34 minutes into the match, Frank Peletier notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Palloketut's Rami Lehto. Rami Lehto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When France's Frank Peletier in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palloketut's goalie prevented a goal. 39 minutes in the game, Frank Peletier dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Rami Lehto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Camille Baume went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With his leg Rami Lehto managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when France's Frank Peletier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Remy Dupuy struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Rami Lehto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for France. Frank Peletier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Rami Lehto made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, Palloketut's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Baume came free, but Rami Lehto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palloketut's Rami Lehto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Palloketut from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remy Dupuy in the 65th minute of play forced Palloketut's goalkeeper Rami Lehto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, David Barbier recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rami Lehto. David Barbier showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Raimo Niemi made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by France's Camille Baume. Palloketut's Rami Lehto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Peletier in the 76th minute of play. Rami Lehto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camille Baume, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Chapuis got free with Rami Lehto in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camille Baumes short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Rami Lehto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Palloketut's Rami Lehto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Baume in the 84th minute of play. With a little luck, Palloketut's Rami Lehto got control of the ball when Frank Peletier tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Palloketut's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Baume came free, but Rami Lehto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. France's supporters rose to their feet, but Remy Dupuy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rami Lehto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rami Lehto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frank Peletier showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 97 minute of play. The Palloketut fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. France were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
