Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Italy booed when Racing Miami Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Zeigler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Sigfrido Auletta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jarrod Leary skillfully saved the ball. Jarrod Leary showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Alexis Hoover hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the game, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jarrod Leary made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 29th minute Truman Crockett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Vittori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodney Hagen in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Porziano Marchitelli came free, but Jarrod Leary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarrod Leary was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jarrod Leary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Xu Yuan Lin replaced Rodney Hagen. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jarrod Leary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Chance Adams was substituted for Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson. A collision led to Racing Miami Futbol Club getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson hit a great ball. Sostene Vitulli was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 84 minutes into the match. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. 87 minutes into the game, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Chance Adams nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Vittori made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 98 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Jarrod Leary had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guiscardo Davide. The Racing Miami Futbol Club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Italy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
