The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jari Fjalland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yannick Turpault showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Netherlands's Lars Meesters was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yannick Turpault in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Couteau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Gust Ennemans in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Genopole Entreprises's Halit Orcan. With his leg Yannick Turpault managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Netherlands's Wim Wilmes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Genopole Entreprises getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jari Fjalland hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Yannick Turpault successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gijsbert ter Kruimer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Yannick Turpault made a huge save. In the 70th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yannick Turpault saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Genopole Entreprises's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Egbert Nijveldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yannick Turpault quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Yannick Turpault didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. In the 86th match minute, Genopole Entreprises was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiusz Cwenar to maneuver through the defense. Faudel Joguet charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faudel Joguet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Genopole Entreprises fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 91 minutes, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Yannick Turpault.
