Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bas Tuitert to maneuver through the defense. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qu Ting Ming in the 5th minute of play. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11thth minute of the game Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bembenfica's Alípio Rego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kees Mooiweer to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Zeus Duarte fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alípio Rego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitor Roque in the 26th minute. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Alípio Rego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Alípio Rego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 35th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Lars Meesters nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alípio Rego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Florian Terrasi in the 42 minute of the game. Alípio Rego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Alípio Rego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Netherlands were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Florian Terrasi made the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeus Duarte in the 54th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Bembenfica's goalkeeper Alípio Rego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. In the 63rd minute, Lars Meesters left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After 67 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Mathijn Doctor. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Mathijn Doctor hit a great ball. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute Zeus Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
