An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé Reis in the 45th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuele Kunz to make the kick off.
