Fabio Auer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Lucantoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Schneider got free with Angelo Micucci in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Viajero Del Mundo booed when Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Wallner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Auer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Del Bello in the 26th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Jonas Nalder dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Angelo Micucci, 1-0. When Ernesto Iannotti came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Viajero Del Mundo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Iannotti couldn't finish the play. Amedeo Lucantoni kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Viajero Del Mundo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Ciolli to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Micucci was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Fabio Schneider capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabio Schneider really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Francesco Del Bello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio Auer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Mosca in the 43rd minute of play. Francesco Del Bello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Auer having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sandro Galishoff to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Francesco Del Bello sped through Austria's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabio Auer. Angelo Micucci came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Austria's Leonhard Maier. But to his dismay, Leonhard Maier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 62nd minute, Francesco Del Bello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute, Rafael Riedl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With splendid footwork Francesco Del Bello arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-2 by the left pole in the game's 66th minute. In the 72nd minute Francesco Del Bello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Auer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Schneider in the 80th minute of play forced Viajero Del Mundo's goalkeeper Angelo Micucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Schneider scored 4-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Micucci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
