The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Martyon Diehl in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Martyon Diehl made a huge save. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martyon Diehl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. With a little luck, Boroondara Milan's Martyon Diehl got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Boroondara Milan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hungary:s goal. Hungary walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
