With his leg Reynaldo Playo managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Serbia's Sreten Popovic fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Serbia's Sreten Popovic got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Celio in the 10th minute of the match. If Sreten Popovic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Socorro kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Sreten Popovic struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Reynaldo Playo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serbia. After some careless play in the C.A Juventud Peronista defense, Drasko Rajkovic kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Playo. The C.A Juventud Peronista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Playo should have stopped the shot. Sreten Popovic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Borjan Golubovic's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Playo was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borjan Golubovic in the 22nd minute of play forced C.A Juventud Peronista's goalkeeper Reynaldo Playo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Serbia's zone, Paulo Celio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic came out of the goal and Paulo Celio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Drasko Rajkovic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. Miljan Gavrilovic made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C.A Juventud Peronista's Bartolo Nicholas. In the 55th minute Borjan Golubovic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Playo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serbia's attentive Cvijetin Nanusevski managed to snatch the ball when Armando Vedillo made a throw-in in the 57th minute of the game. Sreten Popovic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Reynaldo Playo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Playo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladeta Jovic in the 80th minute of play. Bartolo Nicholas kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Zivko Cvetkovic threw the ball into play from the sideline. C.A Juventud Peronista's Bartolo Nicholas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 85 minutes into the match, Borjan Golubovic notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of C.A Juventud Peronista's Reynaldo Playo. Reynaldo Playo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute Sreten Popovic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Playo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sreten Popovic came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Serbia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sreten Popovic couldn't finish the play.
