Bernardo Colle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Bernardo Colle might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Colle ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Colle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guntademaro Macera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guntademaro Macera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Bernardo Colle made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 24th minute Caetano Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guntademaro Macera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardo Colle in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Turri in the 31st minute of play. Bernardo Colle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. In the 44th minute Bernardo Colle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Caetano hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Colle was the one to do the kick off. PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC were furious when Yusuf Ziya Tulum was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC! When the match had been going on for 55 minutes, Portugal's Felipe Barreto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Guntademaro Macera. When Cristián Álvarez came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristián Álvarez couldn't finish the play. Guntademaro Macera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 66th minute of play. Daniel Pimentel took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guntademaro Macera. Guntademaro Macera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 72nd minute, Manolo Robledo made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After having played for 76 minutes, Manolo Robledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manolo Robledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristián Álvarez in the 77th minute of play. After 82 played minutes PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Daniel Schele. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Raul Caetano got a free kick in the 90th minute. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristián Álvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristián Álvarez went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Hugo Orlando Artigas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's Manolo Robledo got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
