Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Siebe Michiels ran back to his position shaking his head. When Mădălin Cangeopol fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s protests and gave Mădălin Cangeopol a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 10 minutes, Yves Dervaux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgium's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yves Dervaux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute Marian Axinte suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Lenny Clocheret hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alper Benli in the 13th minute of play. Liviu Iordache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 15th minute of the match. Wasyl Kempka lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Lenny Clocheret got his second yellow card in the match during the 21st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mădălin Cangeopol in the 22nd minute. After taking down the ball on Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s corner Heintje Gamarra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Casper Claes quite easily take care of the ball. In the 28th minute, Yves Dervaux made a precise shot to the right of Liviu Iordache. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Mădălin Cangeopol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mădălin Cangeopol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Claes having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yves Dervaux stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Tractorul Satulung -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Fecioru to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the game, Siebe Michiels cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Liviu Iordache was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Siebe Michiels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Liviu Iordache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marius Tănasă hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. A collision led to Tractorul Satulung -MM- getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Samuel Hall hit a great ball. Yves Dervaux recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudiu Fecioru hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Heintje Gamarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Mădălin Cangeopol notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Belgium's Casper Claes. Casper Claes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
