A hard shot 23 in the game by George Echavarri from a close distance when the talented Tommy Kahn managed to make a qualified save. Germany's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, George Echavarri took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. After 29 played minutes UE Cornella got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando. A collision led to UE Cornella getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Luiz Fernando hit a great ball. Nofre Amorebieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Holweck in the 35th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. 38 minutes into the match, UE Cornella's Edvin Vennerberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 42 minutes, Albin Holweck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the UE Cornella players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as UE Cornella's George Echavarri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 3-0 after 44 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. UE Cornella's Charles Puyol got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When George Echavarri came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the UE Cornella fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Echavarri couldn't finish the play. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by UE Cornella's Pablo Vegetti. But to his dismay, Pablo Vegetti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Edvin Vennerberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Kahn. Germany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Geronimo Jofre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nofre Amorebieta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute George Echavarri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Charles Puyol got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tommy Kahn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Vegetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the game, Pablo Vegetti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Segundo Casco managed to get in a good position for a shot. UE Cornella's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Casco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Echavarri's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Edvin Vennerberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute, George Echavarri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0.
