Amado Froila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Tommy Kahn yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 23rd minute, Francisco Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Tommy Kahn successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 30th minute, Lobo Zornoza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Sachs to maneuver through the defense. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Nae Buteanu got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Célio Fontes was the one to do the kick off. In the 73rd minute Célio Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Célio Fontes scored 6-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 86 minutes into the game, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Brian Johnson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Juvenal Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Holweck in the 90th minute of the match.
