After having played for 7 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin 雷震南 in the 16th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 18th minute of play forced American Airlines's goalkeeper Arvin Hökkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute, Bennvar Nobel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 28 minutes of play, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arvin Hökkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye American Airlines's goalie prevented a goal. 38 minutes into the match, American Airlines's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Arvin Hökkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bennvar Nobel got free with Arnout Reekers in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 46 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The American Airlines players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-1.

54 minutes into the match, American Airlines's Darnell Metcalf broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in American Airlines's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arvin Hökkvist came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arvin Hökkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Darnell Metcalf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when American Airlines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbin De Brouwer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arvin Hökkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. American Airlines made a substitution. Lyuben Karavelov replaced Fabio Cannata. The supporters of Netherlands booed when American Airlines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jed Jewell didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Lars Meesters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arvin Hökkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darnell Metcalf, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Darnell Metcalf notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. American Airlines made a substitution. Carlo Trujillo replaced Gabriel Rossi. American Airlines made a substitution. Jonah Ryan replaced Bennvar Nobel. 82 minutes into the match, American Airlines's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Arvin Hökkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arvin Hökkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 84th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anoush Khalatbari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, American Airlines's Edwin 雷震南 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The American Airlines support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
