Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dobromir Malkanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of A.K.Sh Albania booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wim Wilmes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dobromir Malkanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 20th minute of play. Dobromir Malkanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 23rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grzegorz Gdaniec's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Dobromir Malkanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 33rd minute of play. When A.K.Sh Albania's Bernabe Odon in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shpëtim Kume in the 37th minute of play. Dobromir Malkanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute Gregorio Mel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 47th minute of play forced A.K.Sh Albania's goalkeeper Dobromir Malkanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Dobromir Malkanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 51st minute of play. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shpëtim Kume in the 56th minute of play. In the 58thth minute of the game David Eikelkamp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.K.Sh Albania's Dobromir Malkanov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bas Tuitert to maneuver through the defense. Shpëtim Kume recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Dobromir Malkanov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. 69 minutes in the game, Wim Wilmes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dobromir Malkanov having to interfere. In the 75th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dobromir Malkanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 played minutes Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Dobromir Malkanov stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing A.K.Sh Albania of the goal. After a rather tough play, A.K.Sh Albania's Nertil Ramos got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
