In the 40thth minute of the game Balazs Lajos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Richmond's Hubert Sharp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Veto Steller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Veto Steller tried to chip the ball over his head. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Krystian Żmuda to make the kick off.
