Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Torbjörn Brummer kicked off to start the match. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Tomas Asserlindh sent off a good shot on target. In the 11th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Olofsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Olofsson came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, StraX Xenon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Mattias Olofsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the StraX Xenon FC defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mattias Olofsson. The StraX Xenon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mattias Olofsson should have stopped the shot. Tomas Asserlindh took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Mattias Olofsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 24th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, StraX Xenon FC's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ulrik Göransson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lars Meesters blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mattias Olofsson having to make a save. 31 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pelle Smedfeldt. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mattias Olofsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Olofsson having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakob Palmkvist in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp got a free kick in the 47th minute. Arnout Reekers acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 48th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Otto Axelsson. The StraX Xenon FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 1-2.

Mattias Olofsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. A collision led to StraX Xenon FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Villiam Johnsson hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Torbjörn Brummer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Olofsson made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a good shot on target. Sigvard Frykberg kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. With a little luck, StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Villiam Johnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Netherlands booed when StraX Xenon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Gernberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Asserlindh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Mattias Olofsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mattias Olofsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 82nd minute. In the 89th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Egbert Nijveldt advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-4 in the 89th minute. Mattias Olofsson made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
