The supporters of BAŞBUĞ booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Mooiweer didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nilmar Marinho in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens Huybreghts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 35th minute of the match. In the 44th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens Huybreghts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bas Tuitert to maneuver through the defense. Paul Chopin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nilmar Marinho to strike the kick off in the second half. Jens Huybreghts made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Jens Huybreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens Huybreghts having to interfere. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens Huybreghts came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 70 minutes into the game, David Eikelkamp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Netherlands's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BAŞBUĞ the free kick. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. David Eikelkamp hit a great ball. With a little luck, BAŞBUĞ's Jens Huybreghts got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. BAŞBUĞ made a substitution. Enis Behiç Nizami replaced Nilmar Marinho. After a rather tough play, BAŞBUĞ's Vedat Baray got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute Hüseyin Can Orak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Enis Behiç Nizami came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Hernan Oroitz sped through Netherlands's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. Arda Baybars Salik charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arda Baybars Salik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when BAŞBUĞ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arda Baybars Salik didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 97 minutes, Wim Wilmes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the BAŞBUĞ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wim Wilmes hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The Netherlands players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented BAŞBUĞ from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
