In the 33rd minute of the match Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a corner. Belgium's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stasio Bienienda ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Stasio Bienienda almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Belgium's Casper Claes did a great save. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. With a little luck, Belgium's Casper Claes got control of the ball when Stasio Bienienda tried to sneak it across the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Diki Doro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diki Doro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 47th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Diki Doro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zhao Sen Yang was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Stasio Bienienda made a precise shot to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhao Sen Yang in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Zhao Sen Yang put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Casper Claes. Mugurel Pandele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Claes having to interfere. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Grau in the 61st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Diki Doro in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lenny Clocheret charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lenny Clocheret the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lenny Clocheret hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Stasio Bienienda came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 70th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Zhao Sen Yang put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Casper Claes. Primitivo Grau scored 5-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Claes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Sen Yang in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 86th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Zhao Sen Yang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Grau came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stasio Bienienda in the 92nd minute of play. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
