A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Kenn Skou hit a great ball. The supporters of Denmark booed when Sporting Savaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mózes Medve didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but János Gáspár saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. János Gáspár took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikkel Wulff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chris Nygaard took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised János Gáspár. János Gáspár dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 20th minute Kálmán Mbappè shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lajos Laczkó in the 23rd minute. Lajos Laczkó scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keld Paulsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck János Gáspár prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Sporting Savaria's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but János Gáspár reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Sporting Savaria got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Berart.

The wind increased when Chris Nygaard made the kick off in the second half. János Gáspár showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikkel Wulff in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind János Gáspár. János Gáspár yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. If Lajos Laczkó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robustiano Berart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eutropio Vera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. János Gáspár made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikkel Wulff in the 73rd minute of play. In the 78th minute, Chris Nygaard made a precise shot to the right of János Gáspár. Sporting Savaria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After 81 minutes, Kálmán Mbappè made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Denmark's Keld Paulsen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Kálmán Mbappè had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lajos Laczkó in the 85th minute of play. The Denmark fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Denmark's Chris Nygaard looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Lars Steen got a free kick in the 92nd minute. If Kálmán Mbappè had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lars Steen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. János Gáspár tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Denmark left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting Savaria.
