Spectators: 51 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vidosav Joksimović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radoman Karaičić, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vidosav Joksimović skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vidosav Joksimović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The throw-in from Gust Ennemans in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Thornhill City's Damjan Stevančević. Vidosav Joksimović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 25th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Thornhill City's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vidosav Joksimović came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Radoman Karaičić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Thornhill City's Vidosav Joksimović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 36th minute of play. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Thornhill City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. 40 minutes into the match, Thornhill City's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Vidosav Joksimović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Thornhill City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Draža Milentijević to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vidosav Joksimović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 45th minute of play forced Thornhill City's goalkeeper Vidosav Joksimović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

Thornhill City made a substitution. Zhuo Le Kun replaced Radoman Karaičić. The wind increased when Zhuo Le Kun made the kick off in the second half. Vidosav Joksimović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 55th minute, Draža Milentijević hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zhuo Le Kun scored 1-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vidosav Joksimović. That made the score 1-3 after 62 minutes of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhuo Le Kun, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Sima Ignjatović hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Vidosav Joksimović successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A sloppy throw-in by Gust Ennemans in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Thornhill City's Damjan Stevančević. After 84 played minutes Thornhill City got a freekick which was hit by Husein Ognjanović. The long shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 85th minute really tested Vidosav Joksimović's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 94th minute Zhuo Le Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Netherlands's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thornhill City the free kick.
