Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Unicorns ™'s Alex Răduț started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Slovakia's Henrich Slany played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Albescu in the 5th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Slovakia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Alex Răduț walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 8th minute of the match Viorel Ruşdea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrich Slany skillfully saved the ball. Slovakia's Oliver Holub got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Unicorns ™'s Valentin Alexandrescu got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Metod Mlynar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Slovakia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Henrich Slany made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Alex Răduț sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Unicorns ™ booed when Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Suchy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Alex Răduț left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Unicorns ™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Valentin Alexandrescu kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. If Niculae Bărbulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Slovakia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Metod Mlynar got free with Silviu Bogătan in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niculae Bărbulescu's late challenge caught a Slovakia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niculae Bărbulescu helped the player get up and apologised. Niculae Bărbulescu hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes Slovakia got a freekick which was hit by Metod Mlynar. After a defensive mix-up in Slovakia's zone, Valentin Alexandrescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrich Slany came out of the goal and Valentin Alexandrescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henrich Slany didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gheorghe Albescu went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Silviu Bogătan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Metod Mlynar in the 87th minute. Niculae Bărbulescu hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Metod Mlynar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Silviu Bogătan made a huge save. In the 95th minute Metod Mlynar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Bogătan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silviu Bogătan made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Metod Mlynar sent off a good shot on target. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
