Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edward Vanderstraeten started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Atletico Kankero's Cristiano Ragazzoni got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristiano Ragazzoni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Yves Dervaux hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Amos Urbani came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yves Dervaux got free with Cristiano Ragazzoni in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Atletico Kankero's Cristiano Ragazzoni got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atletico Kankero's Frank Fabiani got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Urbani in the 29th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sander Dermaut kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Cristiano Ragazzoni in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Amos Urbani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Amos Urbani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Floris Claeys made in the 44th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Siebe Michiels. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amos Urbani to strike the kick off in the second half. Ercole Munno kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Amos Urbani came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Atletico Kankero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amos Urbani couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Ragazzoni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenny Clocheret, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristiano Ragazzoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 68th minute of play. When Amos Urbani came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Atletico Kankero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amos Urbani couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Ragazzoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 73rd minute of play. Atletico Kankero's Cristiano Ragazzoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amos Urbani. After some careless play in the Atletico Kankero defense, Yves Dervaux kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Ragazzoni. The Atletico Kankero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Ragazzoni should have stopped the shot. After 88 played minutes Atletico Kankero got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Pedroni. Cristiano Ragazzoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 90th minute of play. Carmine Fiordelisi hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Belgium's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
