Antal Valentin took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Cesario. Bruno Cesario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 6 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Cesario. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antal Valentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Federico Lia hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 14th match minute, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Caniggia to maneuver through the defense. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Bruno Cesario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Paul Caniggia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Takacs Tibor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Hungary's Takacs Tibor to fire away a dangerous shot which Bruno Cesario despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Paul Caniggia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Cesario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Antal Valentin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Bruno Cesario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 33 minutes, Antal Valentin made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Bruno Cesario tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hegedus Henrik in the 39th minute of play forced C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Bruno Cesario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Bruno Cesario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paul Caniggia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Bruno Cesario got control of the ball when Balazs Lajos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bruno Cesario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Takacs Tibor made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Cesario. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. 61 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goal looked a bit too open when Hegedus Henrik came free, but Bruno Cesario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Bruno Cesario made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Bruno Cesario in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute, Major Barna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Major Barna took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Cesario. Bruno Cesario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. After having played for 75 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th match minute, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Itzaina to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Bruno Cesario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. A collision led to C.A. BOCA JUNIORS getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Domingo Blai hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingo Blai in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 87 minutes into the match, Hegedus Henrik dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruno Cesario, 0-8. Paul Caniggia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
