The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosimo Laudadio got free with Wilson Amorim in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cosimo Laudadio struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPALLETTE RETURNS. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Luca Pellegrini took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Wilson Amorim to make any attempt to save it. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Bevilacqua in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, SPALLETTE RETURNS's Cosimo Laudadio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Marco Silvestri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Silvestri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Augusto Bevilacqua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Augusto Bevilacqua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Cosimo Laudadio sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciro Immobile during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SPALLETTE RETURNS's Ciro Immobile got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Felipe Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marco Silvestri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 44th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Graciano Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 57th minute of play forced SPALLETTE RETURNS's goalkeeper Marco Silvestri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Marco Silvestri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 57th minute of play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Amedeo Palmieri managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rodolfo Miranda in the 79 minute of the game. 87 minutes into the game, SPALLETTE RETURNS's Cosimo Laudadio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosimo Laudadio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SPALLETTE RETURNS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
