The supporters of Portugal booed when AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iordache Barboni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Don Cabezon scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dede Akmal in the 21st minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Pimentel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Barreto in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dacian Nițescu saved AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC from getting behind. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dacian Nițescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 29th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 50th minute of play forced AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's goalkeeper Dacian Nițescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the match, AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Dacian Nițescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dacian Nițescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. Dacian Nițescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dacian Nițescu came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Felipe Barreto. But to his dismay, Felipe Barreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dewa Warauw was substituted for Don Cabezon. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC made a substitution. Jajat Mustari replaced Dede Akmal. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC made a substitution. Samuel Mambru replaced Ardy Pakubuwono. After 80 minutes of play, AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dewa Warauw made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dacian Nițescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipinho Amorim in the 83rd minute of play. The Portugal fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Portugal's Felipinho Amorim looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dacian Nițescu came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Felipinho Amorim. But to his dismay, Felipinho Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 94th minute, Felipinho Amorim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3.
