After 27 minutes of play, Stowe City's Nils-Emil Tunström made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kaj Helström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 30th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Stowe City's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Kaj Helström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stowe City's Kaj Helström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 38th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaj Helström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Stowe City getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Emmanuel Stroh hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Emil Tunström in the 52nd minute of the match. Kaj Helström was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Wim Wilmes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wim Wilmes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Stowe City's Kaj Helström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 61st minute of play. After some careless play in the Stowe City defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaj Helström. The Stowe City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaj Helström should have stopped the shot. In the 75th minute, David Eikelkamp made a precise shot to the right of Kaj Helström. Stowe City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 78th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kaj Helström was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kaj Helström could save by the left post. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Stowe City's Kaj Helström managed to reach the ball for a save. Anton Villarreal hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Wim Wilmes made a precise shot to the right of Kaj Helström. Stowe City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
