Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romão Mourato in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camille Baume in the 47th minute of play forced Revolución Joao FC's goalkeeper Joel Ahonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Revolución Joao FC's Joel Ahonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Revolución Joao FC from getting a goal against them. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romão Mourato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lopez Socarras's late challenge caught a France's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lopez Socarras helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of France booed when Revolución Joao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position.
