The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Farid Mondragon in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Farid Mondragon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levan Dost in the 15th minute of play. Farid Mondragon made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Yves Dervaux sent off a good shot on target. When Yves Dervaux got free in front of the goal in the 25th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Farid Mondragon was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Levan Dost left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Vanderstraeten to strike the kick off in the second half. Casper Claes was left in no man's land by his defense there!
