Matías Neiva helped the player get up and apologised. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaristo Britto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Britto having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduardo Rodrigues. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Evaristo Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 33rd minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Britto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Ortiz in the 55th minute of play. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Evaristo Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 59th minute of play forced RochA Bombeir0 FSCMZ's goalkeeper Evaristo Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes of play RochA Bombeir0 FSCMZ's Matías Neiva was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to RochA Bombeir0 FSCMZ getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Matías Neiva hit a great ball. When Dráusio Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the RochA Bombeir0 FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráusio Schmidt couldn't finish the play. RochA Bombeir0 FSCMZ's Anísio Mello was substituted for Dráusio Schmidt. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelinho Ferraz during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcelinho Ferraz hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Evaristo Britto in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Evaristo Britto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo Britto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th minute of the match RochA Bombeir0 FSCMZ got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anísio Mello ran over to the corner to take the kick. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
