The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin Boelens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Underdogs's Jan Wessel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save The Underdogs from getting a goal against them. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Jan Wessel made a huge save. In the 64th minute, Robin Boelens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Daniel Pimentel struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Jan Wessel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portugal. Felipinho Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Wessel having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 82nd minute of play forced The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dolf Schoonderwoerd took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Frank de Boer's late challenge caught a Portugal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank de Boer helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to The Underdogs getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Frank de Boer hit a great ball. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
